When HSN launched the new line of Todd English products the request was simple enough, simply recreate a rustic styled set that was used in the on air promo. Of course the set wasn’t complete but based on concept art alone the result was a very close match, giving the entire project a unified feel. “It’s important that the viewer isn’t jarred into another world when we jump back and forth between live action and animation” said Noel Torres, cross content producer at HSN. “Mimicking the studio lighting would have destroyed the rustic kitchen feel used in the promo, so we compromised between the two lighting styles to accentuate the product while not killing the homey feel.” explained Damian Alpizar.
